Athens, GA – Car Crash with Injuries at College Station Rd

Athens, GA (October 16, 2021) – At 3:52 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, October 15, a car crash with injuries occurred in Athens.

According to the University of Georgia Police Department, the accident happened on College Station Road around the area of GA-10. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other. One of the vehicles involved in the accident was being operated by a teenager.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person was injured as a result of the accident. The party was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The juvenile that was to blame for the accident was charged for the accident. They were cited for driving while unlicensed and failing to obey a traffic control device. The party was released to their parent at the scene.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
