Atlanta, GA – Head-on Collision with Injuries in NB Lanes of GA-400

Atlanta, GA (October 8, 2021) – At 1:45 a.m. on the morning of Friday, October 8, a head-on collision occurred in Atlanta.

According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of GA-400 around the area of Lenox Road. A Jeep Latitude was traveling in the wrong lane of traffic when the driver collided head-on with a Honda Civic. The driver of the Jeep remained at the scene and both vehicles were badly damaged.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The driver of the Jeep was taken to WellStar Atlanta Medical Center with minor injuries. The driver of the Honda was rushed to the hospital in serious condition and remains there at this time.

Police confirmed that a large portion of the roadway was blocked until police were able to clear the scene. The driver of the Jeep will be facing charges.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
