Atlanta, GA – Injuries Reported in Auto Accident on I-675 at Hwy 138

Atlanta, GA (October 11, 2021) – At 9:30 p.m. on the night of Monday, October 11, a serious accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Atlanta.

According to DeKalb County officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-675 around the area of Highway 138. Two or more vehicles were traveling on the highway when they collided with each other, causing one of the vehicles to turn over. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained heavy damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.

All lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time as police worked to clear the scene. They urged those in the area to use an alternate route.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
