Pedestrian Accidents in Georgia

12/3 Augusta, GA – Child Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Olive Rd Pedestrian accidents are some of the most horrific accidents on our roads, especially when they involve unsuspecting children. Pedestrians have no protection from harm in the event of an accident, which means that they are more likely to suffer from catastrophic or even fatal injuries in the event of an accident. Many people lose their lives in unfortunate and preventable pedestrian accidents throughout Georgia each year. In fact, in 2018 alone, it was reported that approximately 260 pedestrians were killed in these accidents and many others were injured. If you have been hurt in a pedestrian accident caused by another party, it is important that you seek the help of an attorney that you can trust.

Nobody is ever fully prepared to face the aftermath of a pedestrian accident on their own. These accidents tend to lead to some of the most severe injuries, including the following:

  • Traumatic brain injuries
  • Organ damage
  • Broken bones
  • Paralysis

The injuries that stem from pedestrian accidents could signal a long road to recovery. This means that you could be facing an extended stay in the hospital and might not be able to return to work for some time following your collision. If you have been hurt in one of these accidents, it is important that you have the dedicated help of an Augusta personal injury lawyer on your side.
