Brooklet, GA – Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Stilson-Leefield Rd

Brooklet, GA (December 1, 2021) – At 1:47 p.m. on the afternoon of Wednesday, December 1, a fatal pedestrian accident occurred in Brooklet.

According to Bulloch County officials, the accident happened on Stilson-Leefield Road near the area of Dan Beasley Road. A 31-year-old female pedestrian was walking in the area of her home when she was struck by a vehicle that was close by in the Stilson Community. Police believe that the woman was attempting to retrieve her mail when her dog got away from her. When she ran off after her dog, she was struck by the vehicle.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. Nobody else was hurt in the collision.

Due to the severity of the collision, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision remains ongoing.
