Cartersville, GA (December 2, 2021) – On Thursday night, December 2, a hit-and-run motorcycle crash occurred at an intersection in Cartersville.
According to Cartersville Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Johnson Road and Tennessee Street. A pickup truck was traveling in the area when the driver suddenly struck a motorcycle at the intersection. The driver of the pickup truck fled the scene of the crash without stopping. The motorcycle sustained heavy damages as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The motorcyclist sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The party has been hospitalized, though they are expected to make a full recovery.
Due to the severity of the crash, a large portion of the roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time. Police did not confirm if they found the driver of the pickup truck responsible for the accident.
