College Park, GA – Injuries Reported in Crash on I-85 near Virginia Ave (Exit 73)

College Park, GA (September 6, 2021) – An automobile accident reported in the College Park area ended in injuries. At around 5:54 p.m., on September 6, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Interstate 85.

Reports from local authorities indicate that a violent collision slowed the northbound side of Interstate 85 just before exit 73 for Virginia Avenue. The incident caused moderate delays in the area.

A white sedan involved in the accident came to rest in the center of the roadway. A black sedan came to rest off the side of the road. A third vehicle may have been involved in the collision.

Crews responded to the scene and closed off the roadway as they worked extensively to clear the area. At least one person was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
