Columbus, GA – Injury Accident at Veterans Pkwy & Airport Thruway

Columbus, GA (December 12, 2021) – At 7:30 p.m. on the evening of Sunday, December 12, an injury accident occurred at an intersection in Columbus.

According to officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Veterans Parkway and Airport Thruway near the area of Liberty Gas Station. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, forcefully colliding with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result of the accident.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.

Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
