Dalton, GA – Rollover Accident at S Bypass & Abutment Rd Intersection

Dalton, GA (September 8, 2021) – Around 4 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, September 8, a rollover accident with injuries occurred in Dalton.

According to Whitfield County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of South Bypass and Abutment Road. Two vehicles collided with one another after entering the intersection, which caused one of the vehicles to forcefully overturn. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were seriously injured in the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
