Decatur, GA – Car Crash at Covington Hwy & Panola Rd Intersection

Decatur, GA (September 16, 2021) – At 6:53 a.m. on Thursday morning, September 16, a car crash with injuries occurred in Decatur.

According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Covington Highway and Panola Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, colliding with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were injured in the accident. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.

Due to the severity of the accident, several lanes of traffic were blocked for some time. This led to delays in the area.
