Hinesville, GA (February 18, 2023) – Three people were rushed to the hospital following a rollover crash that took place on a roadway in Hinesville on Saturday afternoon, February 18.
According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident happened around 4 p.m. on GA-196 near the shared county line with Long and Tattnell counties. Police claim that a man, a woman, and a small child were traveling in a vehicle when the driver lost control. The vehicle rolled over after traveling off the road in the area. Both the man and woman were thrown out of the vehicle while the child was trapped inside.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The woman sustained the most severe injuries and was airlifted to Memorial Hospital in Savannah for treatment, though her condition is not yet known. The man and the child were also injured and taken to Optim Medical by ambulance.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes of traffic in the area as police worked to clear the scene.
