Loganville, GA – Pedestrian Accident at Athens Hwy & Skyland Dr

Loganville, GA (September 22, 2021) – Around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday night, September 21, a pedestrian accident with injuries occurred in Loganville.

According to Walton Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Athens Highway and Skyland Drive near the area of the Hill’s Ace Hardware. A vehicle was traveling west in the area toward Snellville. The vehicles suddenly struck a pedestrian who was walking along the highway.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The male victim, identified as a local 72-year-old, was critically injured in the accident. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
