Mableton, GA (March 17, 2023) – One person was killed in a fatal accident involving a motorcycle at an intersection in Mableton on Friday, March 17.
According to Cobb County Police officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Veterans Memorial Highway and Cooper Lake Road at an unknown time. Police confirmed that a 24-year-old man was traveling west on Veterans Memorial on his Harley Davidson. He had a passenger on the back, identified as a 23-year-old woman. At that time, a Ford F-150 was driving east and started to make a left turn at the intersection. The motorcycle and the pickup truck collided with each other, leading to extensive damages. Both vehicles caught on fire after the accident.

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured but was determined to be intoxicated at the time of the collision. He received charges but they have not been publicly released to police.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
We want to offer our warmest condolences to the family and friends of the victim who lost his life in this accident. We also want the injured victim to receive a full recovery.
