Mableton, GA – Two Killed in Fatal House Fire on Kenneth Ln

Mableton, GA (November 9, 2021) – Around 7 a.m. on Tuesday morning, November 9, two people were killed in a fatal house fire in Mableton.

According to Cobb County officials, the fire occurred at 700 Kenneth Lane. Multiple units were called to the scene where they discovered that the home became completely engulfed in flames. Before fire crews were able to get into the home, they found that neighbors had removed one woman from the house and began treating her while fighting the fire. They brought the fire under control around 8 a.m.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help. The woman who was found by neighbors was pronounced dead at the scene. Another woman was found dead at the front door of the home. The two women have since been identified as a woman and her daughter, aged 83 and 63.

The area was blocked for some time following the fire.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
