Sandy Springs, GA – APD Investigates Big Rig Accident on I-285 at New Northside Dr

Sandy Springs, GA (November 7, 2021) – At 9:45 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, November 7, a truck crash with injuries occurred in Sandy Springs.

According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-285 around the area of New Northside Drive. A truck was traveling in the area when it collided with a passenger vehicle due to reasons that are not yet known. The passenger vehicle was badly damaged as a result of the accident.

Fire crews and medics were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured victims were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
