Sandy Springs, GA (September 26, 2021) – At 9 p.m. on Sunday night, September 26, a multi-vehicle crash with injuries occurred on a highway in Sandy Springs.
According to Sandy Springs Police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of GA-400 around the area of I-285. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing them to collide with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be removed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in multiple lanes of traffic as police worked to clear the scene. This led to delays in the area.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
