Sandy Springs, GA – Rollover Accident with Injuries in SB Lanes of GA-400

Sandy Springs, GA (September 20, 2021) – At 5:45 a.m. on Monday morning, September 20, a serious rollover accident with injuries occurred in Sandy Springs.

According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of GA-400 around the area of I-285. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with one another. One of the vehicles forcefully overturned at the scene. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not yet known at this time.

Several lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time. Police urged those in the area to use Highway 9 as an alternate route.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident continues.
